This is a great color! Coral always makes me think of tropical beaches, so this swimsuit with a flirty little skirt seemed perfect. O.M.G!! I know its been forevah since I've posted. Sorry bout that...life, man, it gets in the way!

For those of you don't know, Luna Jubilee has started up her 52 Color Challenge again for this year... Part Deux, if you will. Basically, she gives us a color every week and we create a look based around said color. Its pretty fun, and quite often more challenging than you'd think. Also, you learn to like a lot of colors you never really cared for before. I know I did. So, after failing to complete the 52 weeks last year, by about three weeks, I've decided to give it a go again. I promise to try to post things on time this go around... (notice I said TRY, lol)

This weeks color is Champagne. Fitting for bringing in a new year, I think. And judging by my pics.. I may have had a little too much fun for New Year's! Nah.. too much fun isn't possible!

And just in case I didn't get the right color... my necklace takes care of the champagne requirement!

OMG I know... its been a minute since I've posted. Real life, man.. always rearing its head. Occasionally in a good way..as has been the case.

So, on one of my now less frequent evenings in SL, my good friend LadyCatherine Fairey, sent me two very beautiful preview items. And I have to say, she never disappoints! And she always gives me things in red cause she knows its my fav! Gotta love that!!

Anyway, the dress - which is gorgeous and makes ya feel just a little princessy, in a modern way - is in the Diamond is Mine hunt, which starts tomorrow at midnight. Yay! Finally a post that's not a week late!! (Don't get used to it!) Jade... green. Not one of my favorite colors. But! The amazing thing I've discovered about this project.. is that even though you Think you don't like the color, you usually change your mind. Yep, late again. Things have just been insane lately. I think I may be starting to catch up though. Something I've found interesting about this whole little project.. hmm, not sure we can call it little with as many people participating as there are... but, its interesting that what you think of when you see or hear the color choice for the week, isn't always the outfit you come up with as a final product. Things morph and change. I started this color with a gown... it was pretty, and I liked it...then I took it off.. and lost it in my mess of an inventory. Its still there, and I'll find it again, and wear it.. but I had to start over. Still, even though this isn't what I set out to achieve, I like the results. Hope you do too!!

Ok, so if you know me, you know that green, in any shade, is not my favorite color. Obviously that means there's very little of it in my inventory. And I just couldn't see spending lindens on something that I likely won't wear.. so... I went a different route. Probably like a lot of people, when you say emerald to me.. I think of Emerald City and munchkins, and flying houses and lions, tinmen and scarecrows.. oh my! Yes, I know that's not the real line... so.. I went on a little search for Emerald City and I'm sad to say, I didn't find much. What I did find, isn't a castle. Its a house, and it has some pretty cool stuff inside detailing the origins of the Wizard of Oz.

There's even Dorothy's house and a tornado...

And yeah ok, I got a little green....

This week's color is indigo. I've always thought of indigo as a dark purply blue. Which is not what the color swatch was.. so.. I'm not sure I have the right color, but this is my take on it. So, one day, sometime between Christmas and New Years, I log on and just start accepting all those notices without reading them...like ya do. Later, as I'm going through all the notecards I find one from Pixieplumb Flanagan of Baby Monkey, and she explains that a friend and fellow designer, one I have blogged for a few times in the past, Eclectic Wingtips of e!, has given her my name. And she dropped a ton of fatpacks on me to share with you. Now, some of you may not know this about me.. but I love shoes...particularly boots. So I was browsing through blogs today and came upon Hybie's blogger challenge. The idea is to take an 80's icon, and recreate that person in SL. Well, I spent a little time thinking about it, and browsing pics of different well known figures from 80's pop culture... including but not limited to, Cindi Lauper, Olivia Newton John, Molly Ringwald.... Traci Lords was even suggested to me (um... no, not that kinda blog). As I was looking, this image kept popping up.

Several times. And I thought.. eh.. it was my most favorite movie back then (and still ranks pretty high up there) so why not. Finding the outfit for my Baby was fairly simple... so was the hair, thanks to Analog Dog. So I just needed a pose.. and a Johnny. Both were surprisingly simple to find! Yay! I turned to the best group of fashion divas on the grid for help finding the pose.. and luckily.. one of them creates poses! So, after explaining what I was looking for, Olaenka Chesnokov of oOo Studio said she could whip one up, no problem. Now, to find my Johnny.... He wasn't far off, actually.

And there you have it. Not sure if it was exactly what the challenge was going for, but I had fun doing it... and that's what matters... right?

And I have to give an extra thanks to a very special friend for volunteering to play Johnny to my Baby. *winks and blows a smooch*

I happened to pop into a fashion chat at just the right moment, and Eclectic Wingtips of E! informed me that she has remodeled her store. Sooo.. I had to rush right over and take a look. And what a look it is! So very pretty and easy to find things! As I was browsing, I found her Gatcha, and took a chance. What I got was this Ballet Wrap top in black, but she also has it in white for a 1L. I had already been eyeing the Queens skirt, so when I got the top, the ballerina was born! After hopping around to find a dance studio, I found Princess Ballet, which I think is for kids, but eh, it worked! So I got a workout trying all the animations, and there are a lot!

Lilia is the brand new skin released by Shapes By Kira. She is a very pale skin tone that comes with just a TON of options! Each skin comes with an enhanced cleavage option, which I don't have a pic of, cause.. well.. I like the bewbies!

But, if you haven't, you Should!! And there's no reason not to now with these cute poses from Slash Me Poses. The set is called /me hangs ten... and they are so well made! You get 5 poses, but the nice thing is, you get two of each pose. One you can rez and sit on if you need to move it around, or, one you can just wear if you're in, say, a photo studio. Either way, super easy to use.. I didn't have to make any adjustments at all. And totally cute..or tubular.. or cowabunga and all that! Just go get 'em and start surfin'!!

I had to do some beach hopping until I found this really nice beach with waves, Monkey Surf Cove. Thinking on it now, surfing between two rocks is probably not the smartest thing to do.. but it sure looks pretty!

And I just couldn't resist this last shot. Its taken on a different environment setting, but.. eh..kinda reminds me of surfing in the early morning dawn, and then looking back afterwards to admire the rising sun.

Two of the bestest people in all of SL, Milli Santos - of No Strings Attached - and LadyCatherine Fairey - of ButterFly EffectZ, gave me some goodies to show you. Luckily, and completely by coincidence, they worked together well.

That's what I have to show you today. =GooDVibeZ= is a men's store out there on the grid, owned by Klyde Bonetto. Uh oh, boy's stuff!! I know, right? But that's okay because I have an absolutely wonderful helper that lets me use him for boy stuff. (I really rather think he likes it when I use him, but that's our secret.)

So, here we go! First up we have the FlinT leather jacket in black, made entirely of prims. And they all fit nicely, we didn't even have to adjust them!

Next, we have the Tweed Cargo Shorts in Grey. These are really well textured with prim pockets and ties for those of you who crave details! (The wifebeater is from Sn@tch, in case you're wondering)

And finally, the last piece I have to show you, the Blvd. Brown Outfit. Again with the details, prim baggy jeans, excellently textured, and brown hoodie jacket.

I know, when we think of fashion blogging, we generally think of girls. But seriously.. men have to wear clothes too!! (at least in most sims) So, we need to see some more blogs picking up men's stuff and getting it out there to the masses. Hey kidlets! just a quickie 'cause broken arms and busy schedules don't go well together! I've had tons and tons of stuffing piling up in my inventory, and slowly but surely I'm getting it opened and filed away... ok, who'm I kidding, its not getting filed away, but it IS getting opened!! And so, in the process of that, I found this outfit from Sn@tch. And for some reason, it just called to me to be blogged.. *shrugs* so here it is for ya!!

The outfit is a very cute brown pair of jeans with a pink Batik top, including strappy, straw wedge sandals that are color change, and wood bangles. Pairing that with the Sofia wood and shell jewelry set from [chuculet] and the new group giftie hair from Amacci, and I'm set! Off I go to find a pic location and found a very pretty sim called Garden of Greenburg. You can't see it in this last pic, but there's a sea monster in the water, so be careful!! But there are also lots of hidden little coves and grottos to find some time with that special someone *wink wink* I think I know what I'm doing tomorrow night!!

I know, I know.. I promised I'd be better about blogging. I'm sorry, you can kill me later!! Life, real, and second, have been sooo very busy and caught up in a whirlwind.. anyway.. here we go!

First off I have to send a hundreds of thank you smooches to LadyCatherine Fairey, owner of **Butterfly EffectZ** She has passed me outfit after outfit..and shoes, and pics of things to come. So, thank you, LadyCat..love you bunches. This first pic is her newest release, Attraction, and her new boots, Lima... love love love the boots! (I may have a small fetish with boots actually.. shhh)

Next is a very recent release, Revelos. This was actually her 60L item this past weekend.. I know, its too late for that, but.. its such a sexy little dress its worth it anyway!! There are 4 colors to choose from..oooh, I just tp'd to the store, and she still has this up for 60L.. so hurry!!!

These next couple of goodies can be found on the roof in a tent. Yes, you read that right. There's a sale going on in the sim, and several stores are placing discounted items on the rooftop! Crazy savings, and crazy fun!! Hop on over and check it out!!

Another venture LadyCat is undertaking is shoes. She's just released these flats (shown in gold) and they are kyoot!!! And I gotta say, I'm not a flats wearing type of girl.. but these are adorable! There are six colors to choose from, so come take a peek.

OK, last pic, I think. Today is Pink Shirt Day in honor of stamping out bullying all over the place. Everyone knows what its like to be bullied. Lots of times people just think of bullies being in schoolyards, but they're everywhere. They can be at work, in school, and just generally anywhere. LadyCat, in support of this great cause, has created this Super cute pink shirt, and its free! So, you know what to do.. come get it and show your support.. show those bullies we're done being bullied!!!

I didn't fall off the edge of the grid, I swear! Life has just been kicking my tail from every direction lately, so.. sorry I've been slacking on the blog front! To make up for it, I have quite a bit to show you today.. so let's just dive right in, shall we?

First up is the new group gifts from Aqua. The group has reached 5K, so, you know.. yay!! And gifties, if you're not in the group, you better get in it!

First, I just wanna say sorry I've not blogged lately... new computer, new programs (mainly Gimp), of which I'm fairly well failing to learn at this point, but I'm not giving up! So, if anyone out there has any tips or suggestions, send them my way. Seriously. OK, on to the good stuff....

I found a new store this weekend, thanks to Renee on the FabFree blog. The store is called Crush Factory, and is excellent! Especially if you're on a budget and want to look super cute for the spring and summer! I don't know if its just for right now, or always, but everything in the store is only 10L!! Shoes, hair, clothes, accessories, even some furniture and other toys to play with, like sand buckets and slumber party items. I've got pics to show you of just a few of the outfits, keep in mind, there are LOTS of colors to choose from! So.. here we go!

Wedding Bells??

*sings* "Going to the chapel, and we're gonna get......." nah...but we are doing Chalice Carling's blog challenge! Her challenge was to create two wedding looks, one for a beach, and one appropriate for a church. Easy enough you might think.. but here comes the challenge. You can't go buy anything. You have to create the looks from the items you have in your inventory currently. If you happen to have a wedding dress, well, that's fine I suppose. And I do have a wedding dress, a couple in fact. But i didn't use them because, well that just wouldn't have been as much fun. And this was a really fun challenge, because let's face, what girl doesn't like playing dress up in wedding gowns?

In the church pic, I tried to find an actual church, without going through a wedding venue... but that didn't work out so well. So when I found Genevieve Cathedral, which is very similar to what I'd want for my own wedding, I figured I'd found the perfect spot.

The beach picture was a little easier, since I live on a beach and just had to go out and play in the yard to get this pic. If you look closely, you can even see my dolphin, Steve, and Mike the shark may be lurking around too.

I don't know if you've ever had the opportunity to go to a fashion show in SL or not, but I'd have to recommend it. I've been lucky enough to sit in the audience, and walk the catwalk a few times. Both can be a rewarding experience. So when LadyCatherine Fairey, the designer of Butterfly EffectZ, invited me along, I jumped at the chance. The show featured three designers, Inspirations by Inga, Cherrie's Designs, and of course, Butterfly EffectZ. The ambiance was set for love, obviously, being this close to VDay, the models were beautiful, and the designs were delicious.

These pictures are shots of the models I actually managed to take. We all know what a lagfest SL can be at times, well, multiply that by a trillion and you have a fashion show!

Bad Romance

Even though that's an awesome song this unbelievable set of furniture, Eli Texture Change Living Room Set, is anything but bad! I had the opportunity to meet the creator of Sweet Romance Furniture, LaDonna Upshaw, recently and after talking for a few minutes about building and such, she showed me this set in her store... then asked if I'd like to blog it. Well of course! I'd already fallen in love with it in the store, it has so many options and poses. The base of the sofa and chaise are texture change, as well as the pillows. In the set, you get two end tables, coffee table, rug, entertainment center (complete with doodads, but no tv), lamps, vases, and it just goes on.

One simply amazing feature this couch and chaise have, is the ability to rez objects for different poses. So that means no more hovering off of the furniture at funny angles because the pose doesn't fit quite right, a pillow rezzes in just the right spot...and, various poses have items that will rez.. a kitty, a plate of cookies and milkshake, champagne and strawberries. And then there's the animations, and these pics just don't do them justice. There are three menus of cuddle poses in both the couch and the chaise.

As well as a full set of solo poses in each! You have just got to see these!! The poses are well done, the props are incredibly detailed There's nothing Bad about Sweet Romance Furniture... go take a look around the store at all the other great quality pieces and you'll see for yourself!

The pajamas are brand new, literally, just released from E! and they come in a range of colors, the top isn't so unisex, but the bottoms are! I'm sure most of you have heard by now, there have been lots of blogs covering it, but Azul is having a two day sale! One gown in each style is marked down to half price. They are doing this as a thank you to their customers for helping them win the VAIN, Inc Reader's Choice Award for Best Female Formal Wear. Look.. a Book

Noo... LookBook! I'm just discovering these things so forgive if I'm behind the times, lol. I mean, sure.. I've gotten them in the past and never bothered to look at them.. or maybe those were just catalogs, I dunno. But, a couple days ago, I picked one up and thought I'd finally take a look. And omg, I was so pleasantly surprised! Its like, catalog shopping, xstreet, and the home shopping network all rolled into one! I wasn't aware that you could actualy Buy things from the catalogs.. think of what I've missed! Now, there's no reason to have to go out and fight the lag and the crowds. Just pop on the book and you're set! I may be over the top about these things right now, and if so.. you can ignore me, haha! But I wanted to share this new discovery. So below are just some pics of how it works, for those out there who may not know yet...

Attach the LookBook. It will attach to your Hud, and has a menu to resize, etc.

Once you've found something you wish to purchase, click the buy button above that page (or gift if its for someone else)

You'll get a blue drop down menu asking if you wish to purchase. Click yes.. a bit of advice: if you've changed your mind and don't want to buy it, click no.. not ignore. Ignore makes it reset the menu and that takes a minute or two. After clicking yes, you'll get the yellow drop down menu asking you to grant it permission to take funds. Those things always make me nervous, but go ahead and grant permission.

Now, after you've given permission, it will tell you to pay the object. What object, you may ask.. I know I did. What happens is, a pay me box is rezzed above your head. You may need to move your cam around to see it. Took me forever to see it, personally.

So, pay the box, and in a couple seconds, you'll have your item. No fuss, no muss. I thought it was pretty cool.. and.. perfect for those times you're stuck somewhere, and can't get out to go shopping.. i.e. weddings, work, anytime you're bored.

Who doesn't love dancing right? Held tight in your honey's arms, soft words whispered against your ear, the gentle stroke of his fingers down your spine... *dreamy sigh* Makes me wanna hop over to one of my favorite ballrooms, Bubbly, and dance the night away. So, I found a couple dresses to do just that in! Both are group gifties, so that makes them even better.

This first dress came from {Meghindo's} who incidentally has re-opened. This dress is a group gift. The skirt comes with two versions, regular and big ass, just means the skirt is poofier and is the one I'm wearing in the picture.

This dress is from **Trubble** and was also a group gift. It made me feel like being somewhere warm and sunny, especially after all the cold weather we've had, so I hunted down a ballroom that had a tropical feel to it, Romantic Sunset Ballroom.

Now get out there and dance!!

Easy like Sunday Morning

Good morning! errr...afternoon.. whatever... Just a quick post, cause I slept too late, as usual. And I'm still sleepy... so here we go!

This outfit just kinda fell together. The top is E!'s pick reward gift this month, so if you've not got her in your picks, pop over and add her and come back in 24-48 hours and its yours! simple as that. Next, [Decoy] is having a sale! Til March! These jeans were even more on sale as they are a special color, but the sign said for only three days so you better hurry. The boots are from [Decoy] as well, from a previous sale, and I love them. And finally... my pashmina. I love love love it. Possibly because I have one in real life that I absolutely adore. Its so warm, and soft.. I just love wrapping up and snuggling in it. Feels just like being wrapped in someone's arms (to me anyway). Its never far from me... ever. So when I saw it at Zaara's.. I just Had to have it.

For the next pic, I got all nice and toasty on a cold Sunday, in this jacket from Pididdle, on sale in store for 1L! Brown for some reason, always makes me feel "earthy" so I added brown suede boots from Rebel Hope, and the pants are from Digit Darkes (from a long time ago, no idea if they still have them out).

As I'm sure most of you know, now.. Sophia Harlow issued a nice little challenge for us bloggers. To post a picture of what you looked like as a newbie - God, help us all - and how you look now. At first I thought, no, cause you know, that's some scary stuff. And I wasn't completely sure I still had anything from then. But, as anyone who knows me can tell you, I'm a pack-rat and have Everything! (I have been making some headway on cleaning out the inventory though, yay me!) So, anyway.. I did it. Don't be frightened.. too much!

The only thing I can tell you about the 2007 pic is that the hair is Billie from Bewitched (bling included), which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist anymore (they combined with House of Hair and have since rebranded to Hairy Situations) The rest came from some freebie place or resell place at the very least. And my shape, omg, was barely bigger than a child.

And that means.. well we won't go into what that means. But that song makes me think of Moulin Rouge, probably more than anything else. And... the Designers United 3 (which ends tonight) event has a vaudeville them. I'm not sure if cabaret acts count as vaudeville or not, but that's definitely what these outfits I grabbed made me feel. Not to mention the wonderful time SL afforded me, crashing every few minutes, while I searched for a really great place to take the pics, but I was victorious! I managed to relog enough to get these pics finally taken at Corset and Cigars Lounge. If you have a chance, you should go and check it out. It wasn't busy, (I suppose it was an "off time") but the feel of the place really screamed Cabaret to me. So.. I'ma shut up now and show you the pictures.

I don't know why, but this shot just says, in a low sultry voice of course, "Play it again, Sam" and yeah I know, it wasn't a chic's line.. or even a real line from the movie, but still.

...isn't necessarily gold. But sometimes it is! Like this cute little dress from **Butterfly EffectZ** Having spoken with the designer personally, I know this gem is still on sale in her store for half off. Better hurry over! Watch out for the butterflies upon landing!

As a special note, and since you probably can't see it in the first picture, I wanted to draw attention to the necklace I'm wearing. Designed by Kamilah Nemeth, this E.L.F. Necklace is just so cute! The delicate, irregular-sitting chain just makes it that much more real looking, and the tiny flower.. so adorable. She's left it mod, so you can change the actual coloring of the word if you wish. Its not in a store currently, but I'm sure if you contact Kamilah, she'll be happy to arrange something with you.

Now, I know this isn't gold.. but I'm sure you'll still shine when you wear it for your loved one!! New Year.. new blog

So, I've decided to dip my lil toe into the great big pool of the SL blogging community. Bear with me, as this is all Brand Spanking New to me! No idea yet, really, what I'll blog about. But, as its a new year, I feel new things and lots of changes in the air. We'll see how that all pans out, I suppose as we go along.

First order of business... How did YOU spend new years eve? I ran around the grid, snatching up last minute deals, stylin' in my 2010 tiara from noir*lily and adorable 2010 charm shoes from !SSUS! Add to that the gorgeous dress from DCNY and the New Years goodies from Virtual Insanity, and I was set!

And now that I'm all dressed what else is there to do but party!! Including dancing in a champagne glass, and a trip to watch the ball drop at midnight. I think there was even a Linden or two there... and the colors were oh so pretty!
